New CEO for Road Safety Authority

Moyah Murdock is to be the new chief executive at the Road Safety Authority (RSA), writes Trish Whelan.

As the former Bus Éireann chief operating officer, Ms Murdock had previously been the company's chief mechanical engineer and holds a CPC from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport; a B Eng (Mechanical Engineering) from Queen's University, Belfast; and an MBA from Dublin City University.

Her appointment has been welcomed by The Freight Transport Association Ireland (FTAI) whose Ireland General Manager, Neil McDonnell says 'she clearly posses the ability to consolidate the road safety gains made up to now, as well as improving Ireland's road safety performance into the future'.

Ms Murdock's experience in the transport, freight and logistics industry is extensive, having previously worked in the private sector, as part of Team Aer Lingus, Johnson Controls, and McCormick Macnaughton.

She will take up her new role later this month, replacing former CEO Noel Brett.
