New Qashqai already in demand

Half of the initial batch of 2,000 new Nissan Qashqais now on their way to dealers around Ireland have been presold, and the distributor says the balance will be as soon as those waiting for test drives are accommodated, writes Brian Byrne.

The new generation Qashqai is being built in Sunderland in the UK, and Nissan Ireland say they have 'nailed down' the required ongoing supply to meet expected demand after the initial allocation has been rolled out of the dealerships.

The first generation of the model was so well received that long waiting lists existed in most markets for more than a year after launch.
