Opel will produce a limited run of a high-powered version of its Astra OPC, badged Extreme, writes Brian Byrne.
The car is scheduled to debut at Geneva in March, and is based on the company's Astra Cup race car that competed in the Nürburgring Endurance Championship.
The street-legal variant will companion the 280hp Astra OPC and uses weight-trimming carbon components, will include an integrated safety structure, racing seats and 6-point safety belts.
