The aluminium platform for the upcoming new Jaguar XE small saloon will also be adapted for the next generation XF, writes Brian Byrne.
The XE will target the likes of BMW's 3 Series to expand Jaguar sales into the larger buyer segment and is expected to launch next year, with the new XF a year later.
The 'small' Jaguar will likely have in is engine range a new 4-cylinder engine which will also be offered in an expanded engines lineup for the F-Type.
