A new standard for vehicle body repairers has been awarded to the operators of 38 body shops across the country, writes Brian Byrne.
The CSS (Certified Steel Standard) was established last year by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry to reassure consumers that specific repairers have the ability to structurally repair vehicles to the highest standard.
The Standard is given only after an independent audit of the operator's premises, equipment and skill levels amongst the personnel of the facility.
