New models coming from Volkswagen

Volkswagen Passenger Cars enjoyed 1,803 registrations in March and 12.56 percent market share. The brand registered 6,093 units here after the first three months of 2014, writes Trish Whelan.

Paul Burke, Operations Director for Volkswagen Passenger Cars said they are delighted with the results to date, plus they have a very strong order bank and plenty of showroom activity.

Volkswagen Passenger Cars will release several new models over the coming months, with a new MPV - the Golf SV, a revised Polo, revised Jetta and revised Scirocco all set to hit showrooms.

Some 73 percent of all new Volkswagens sold in the first three months of the year were in the lowest tax bands of A, and 75 percent of all new Volkswagen's sold are powered by diesel engines.
