New 2015 Volvo XC70 introduced

Volvo Car Group have introduced a new Model Year 2015 XC70 with prices now starting from €48,895.

The main focus during the continuous development of the XC models has been to maintain the aura of a very comfortable on-road car with capable, off-road potential. The rugged look reflects the XC70's strength and capability. It is available with one engine from the new Drive-E engine family, the turbo diesel D4, and the rugged D5 turbo diesel engine available in conjunction with AWD. Both are available in conjunction with automatic transmission.

The car comes with a bolder front grille, Daytime Running Lights and added matte silver touches and is available with wheels up to 18-inches in diameter. The aim is to emphasise the luxurious feel with a more road-hugging stance. It also features off-road design cues such as skid plates that protest the car on really uneven surfaces.

The interior includes a new design on the front seats, jewellery knobs and a frameless rear-view mirror. There's also 575 litres of load space expandable to a huge 1.600 litres. Rear seats can be folded in three 40/20/40 segments, giving more options to configure the space. The power-operated tailgate can be operated remotely via the key fob or the dashboard. The rear seat can integrate double two-stage child seats, with one movement, booster cushions pop up from the seat giving a safe ride height for children from the age of three and upwards.

The entry level D4 FWD SE Geartronic, comes in at €48,895 and €270 in annual road tax. The top model, the D5 AWD SE Lux Geartronic is priced at €60,845 and with 169g/km C02 will be €570 a year in road tax.
