Over 104 golfers took to the course at The K-Club for the Inaugural Jaguar Golf Classic in aid of the Irish Youth Foundation, writes Trish Whelan.
In keeping with the 4 July theme, and as this is a Ryder Cup year, there was a strong Independence Day and Ryder Cup link to the event with the 26 teams divided into team USA and team Europe.
Blue chip companies representing Team USA on this special day included Facebook, Oracle, State Street, Accenture and Mercer.
Europe was well represented by companies such as Communicorp, IIU, Sky, Allianz, Core HR, Deloitte, Ernst & Young and RFC Executive.
Over €39,500 was raised through the event ad an auction and raffle post-18th hole, and all funds will go to supporting Irish Youth Foundation funded projects for at-risk and disadvantaged children in Ireland.
The event was sponsored by Jaguar Ireland.
