They are the Ford Transit (2 tonnes), the trio of Fiat Ducato/Peugeot Boxer/Citroen Relay, the Iveco Daily, Mercedes-Benz Vito, and Renault Trafic/Opel Vivaro.
Other vans in contention which didn't make the shortlist were the Nissan e-NV200 (electric van), Ford's Transit Courier, and the Renault Master/Opel Movano.
The final vote will take place next month with the presentation of the most coveted prize in the LCV industry to be made at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hannover, Germany on 23 September.
