This follows a deal designed to strengthen the Italian brand's commercial vehicle lineup, and it will also provide extra production for Mitsubishi at its Thailand plant, currently working under capacity.
The Fiat version will begin production in 2016, while the redesigned Mitsubishi on which it will be based is slated to begin production soon.
The Fiat Professional variant will also be sold in Latin America.
