The new car is longer, wider and lower than the current version, with an extended wheelbase and more cargo space. The company says that suspension innovations and a stronger structure will result in a more comfortable ride.
Power for the Irish market will be from a 2.2 diesel with 200hp. It arrives in the middle of next year.
Kia is also showing a refreshed Rio and Venga, both with significant changes to front and rear, and with interior upgrades including a new centre stack design on the Rio, the brand's best selling car globally.
A diesel-electric hybrid version of the Optima large saloon will also feature.
