Hyundai mulls small SUV for Europe

The Intrado concept shown by Hyundai at the recent Paris Motor Show may have indicated that the Korean company will sell a small SUV in Europe, writes Brian Byrne.

Though there's been no confirmation of this, an ix25 similar to one on sale in China could be coming down the European roads network, but not for a couple of years.

The small SUV segment is on a big growth spurt in Europe, and it's expected that Hyundai will roll out a ruggedised version of its new i20 next year to bridge a gap until a 'proper' small crossover is available.

The new generation i20 was also shown at Paris (above). It arrives in Ireland in December.
