Dublin motorists interested in electric vehicles can try out not only the new e-Golf, but see the XL1 from Volkswagen that's the most fuel efficient car in the world, writes Brian Byrne.
This special e-mobility event will be held at Frank Keane Volkswagen on Saturday next, 18 October, between 12 noon and 6pm.
The FM104 Roadhog will be broadcasting live from the event and the Beetlebugs will be there with lots of goodies to giveaway including official Volkswagen merchandise.
The fully electric e-up will be also be on display along with the XL1 — a plug-in hybrid electric car with a 2-cylinder 48hp TDI engine and 27hp electric motor. It is the world’s most efficient liquid fuelled production car at 313 mpg (0.9l/100 km).
The e-Golf has just gone on sale in Ireland priced at €32,660 (including €5,000 SEAI Grant and €5,000 VRT Rebate).
