Opel is pushing ahead with its preparations to introduce its Karl city car in the middle of next year, writes Brian Byrne.
Designed to replace the Agila, it is based on the Spark car built by Chevrolet in Korea, a brand which is being phased out of Europe next year.
The Karl, to be built in Korea, will be sold as the Vauxhall Viva in the UK.
Meanwhile, Opel's fifth-generation Corsa is being launched in Ireland this week.
