The Euro 6 compliant engine has just gone into production, and offers 170hp and 140Nm of torque. It will also be available in the Zafira Tourer.
The company is claiming considerably reduced fuel consumption and emissions with the new generation engine, as well as a significant cut in noise levels.
The last revision to the current Opel large diesel range was in 2012.
