The replacement for Hyundai's ix35 SUV will show at Geneva next week as a much more strongly styled car, writes Brian Byrne.
It will also come with the Tucson name again, reviving the one in which the original of the compact SUV was sold. The ix35 name was used in the European markets for the outgoing second generation.
The new model is built on an all-new platform that allows it offer more interior space both for people and their luggage.
The familiar 1.7 diesel will be the one of most interest to Irish buyers, though 1.6 and 2.0 petrol units will be available in some markets. A dual-clutch automatic transmission will be among the gearbox options
