FTA Ireland partners Diesel Card Ireland

FTA Ireland is delighted to be partnering Diesel Card Ireland (DCI) for the provision of a fuel card for its growing membership. Launched at the FTAI Transport Manager conference held in Enfield, County Meath, the Association has praised the work of DCI, saying that it has established itself as one of Ireland’s and the UK’s leading independent fuel card management companies.

Held for the third consecutive year, the FTAI Transport Manager Ireland conference focused on ensuring transport managers received all the information, guidance and best practice advice that they require on forthcoming legislation and enforcement changes.

Aidan Flynn, FTA Ireland General Manager - Business Services, said: “FTA Ireland is delighted to be partnering DCI, as it has recognised the broad membership base of our Association and has agreed to work with our members in providing the most competitive fuel card in Ireland. In this environment it is important to all freight operators that a fuel card delivers in a number of ways, including competitive pricing, and we are confident that our members will ultimately be the beneficiaries of this.”
The FTA Ireland DCI Fuel Card promises to aid companies’ fuel management and deliver savings to users through convenience (over 1,000 filling sites), competitive Platts+ pricing, fleet management and local account management. For FTAI general haulage and coach and bus members, the fuel card is approved by revenue and the management reporting will aid quarterly fuel rebate submissions to the revenue; for FTAI own account members, the arrangement with DCI will help with the fuel management strategy of the company and add to the bottom line.

Colm Green of Diesel Card Ireland commented: “Over the past four years FTA Ireland has developed not just a significant membership base, but a glowing reputation for promoting compliance and safety standards amongst its membership in many ways, but particularly through its accreditation scheme. DCI is delighted to be in a position to offer FTAI members a fuel card and management service that rewards them for demonstrating high standards of compliance. We look forward to working with the Association and its members.”
