With 200hp available, the Fiesta ST200 is substantially more powerful than the ST version launched in 2013 and is capable of the 100km/h sprint in 6.7s.
The engine is still a 1.6 EcoBoost and the acceleration bump is achieved both by modifications to the power unit and a shorter final drive ratio.
It was launched here during an event to celebrate 40 years of the Ford Fiesta, held at Weston Aerodrome and involving former Top Gear ‘Stig’ racing driver Ben Collins who showed the capabilities of the new car.
