The Derry-Cork pairing of Marty McCormack and David Moynihan were the runaway winners of the Donegal Abbey Hotel Forest Rally, the third round of the Valvoline National Forestry Championship, writes Richard Burke.

Motorsport Ireland Young Racing Driver of the Year Cian Carey (pictured) scored a fourth and two sixth places in the British Formula 3 Cup series at Snetterton, in Norfolk, despite problems when he made a wrong tyre choice in very changeable weather conditions. He was up to second place in the opening race until the track dried out and other drivers who had selected slick tyres were able to forge through the field in the closing laps.
