Driving their Skoda Fabia, they led from start to finish, setting best times on seven of the eight stages to beat nearest rivals Patrick and Stephen O'Brien by more than a minute.

The Escort of David Crossen from Comber was best of the two wheel drive cars, taking third place overall, with Mickey Conlon fifth in another Escort.

Gary Turkington won the Senior and Masters Final at Athboy Karting Centre in Co Meath, half a second ahead of Ross Hayes, while Ian O'Connell took top place in the Naas Driving Academy Autocross run by GSMC at Naul in north Co Dublin.

Motorsport Ireland Young Racing Driver of the Year Cian Carey (pictured) scored a fourth and two sixth places in the British Formula 3 Cup series at Snetterton, in Norfolk, despite problems when he made a wrong tyre choice in very changeable weather conditions. He was up to second place in the opening race until the track dried out and other drivers who had selected slick tyres were able to forge through the field in the closing laps.
