Two-wheeler influx to Innsbruck next week

If you're not already booked to go, then it's probably too late, as the Crankworx professional mountain biking competition rolls off in Innsbruck in Austria next week, writes Brian Byrne.

But keep an eye out on your favourite sports channel to see some pretty spectacular performances from the cream of mountain-biking's competitive side. Up to 10,000 spectators are expected.

For those who understand the terms, Downhill, Slopestyle, Dual Speed & Style, Whip Off and Pump Track Challenge legends together with the fans, rising stars, industry innovators and the next generation of mountain bike riders are there for five days of competition, concerts, and mountain bike culture.

Known as the 'Super Bowl of freeride mountain biking', Crankworx began in Whistler, Canada, in 2004. The Crankworx World Tour travels to Rotorua, New Zealand; Les Gets, France; Innsbruck; and culminates back in its Canadian hometown of Whistler.
