Launched in November last year, the New C3 has already sold 200,000 units, making it Citroen's best seller, writes Trish Whelan. With its success, C3 orders were up 64pc in Europe in the first nine months of the year.
Over 400 units have been sold in Ireland in 2017 year to date. Over 75pc of the car's Irish sales are now petrol showing the reversal of the traditional dominance of diesel sales in this segment for Citroen in Ireland.
A real eye-catcher, customer choices focused on customisation and technology, symbolic of an 'impulse' buy. Figures show nearly 45pc of orders were for the high-end model (Shine); over 60pc of sales were for the two-tone option; over 55pc of sales had the Airbumps; over 30pc of sales were with an optional coloured interior ambiance, and over 90pc of Irish sales included the Style Pack of Airbumps and bi-tone roof.
The C3 has won 30 awards across Europe to date.
