Lagonda to be electric-only luxury brand

A revival of the Lagonda brand by Aston Martin will give the premium sporting car maker a distinctive entry to the electric luxury market, writes Brian Byrne.

Lagonda, launched in 1906 and owned by Aston Martin since 1947, will be an electric-only brand in the future.

The first production cars are due in 2021, the company said at today's Geneva Motor Show, where it revealed its Vision Concept.

A coupe and SUV in model concept form were also revealed, hinting at the kind of models which will first roll out under the Lagonda brand.
