Peugeot has significantly upped the ante with the new 508 unveiled at Geneva, with a forceful new shape and upgraded interiors, writes Brian Byrne.
The almost-coupe styling and strongly-sculpted front end is a very sporty aesthetic, while practicality is exemplified by the large rear hatch door.
The interior features the i-Cockpit instruments layout already familiar in other recent Peugeot models.
Six petrol and diesel engines will offer outputs from 130-225hp, and a range of driver assistance systems will be part of the offering.
A limited-number First Edition version will be available. Orders will begin in the summer.
