Ford thrilled at ICOTY wins

Ford Ireland says it is 'thrilled' to have received two awards at last week's Irish Car of the Year in association with Continental awards, writes Brian Byrne.

The awards were for the new Ford Focus as the Irish Small/Medium Car of the Year 2019, and the Fiesta ST as the Hot Hatchback of the Year 2019.

Ciarán McMahon, Chairman and Managing Director of Ford Ireland, said 'since it was launched in 1999, our Focus has won many awards, both here and across Europe'. "We are delighted that this latest version of Focus is continuing that winning tradition.”

On the Fiesta DT's win, he said he knew this latest version of the Fiesta ST 'was a cracker'. "It is great to see that some of Ireland’s most experienced motoring journalists are in agreement with me."
