New B-Class early in 2019

A new generation of the Mercedes-Benz B-Class will be one of the early arrivals of a range of new and revised models from the brand in 2019, writes Brian Byrne.

The car was first launched in 2005 and since then has resulted in more than 1.5m units sold.

Style changes have resulted in improved aerodynamics, and there's more interior room.

The latest driver assist systems from Mercedes-Benz will be included in the options list, and semi-autonomous driving is available for the first time in the model.

At launch there will be two petrol and three diesel engine choices, with the expected most popular for Ireland being the B180 petrol and B180d diesel, with 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmissions.
