The one-off is a completely battery-powered version to demonstrate how electric power can be race-competitive. Ford commissioned it to garner attention for its upcoming all-electric Mustang Mach-E SUV.
The Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 was developed in association with Ford Performance as an all-electric dragster, with 1,400hp on tap. It will travel 0.4km in less than eight seconds, reaching 170mph.
