Kia further extends its warranty cover

Kia Motors Europe has extended its ‘Kia Promise’ warranty cover for vehicles with original manufacturer warranty to 30 June 2020 to help customers who may be unable to visit a workshop during the Covid-19 pandemic, writes Trish Whelan.

Kia’s original warranty extension to the end of June applied to cars registered in February, March and April 2013; vehicles registered in May 2013 have now been added. Just under 300 cars/owners in Ireland will be covered by this action.

The programme is designed to support Kia customers whose movements may be limited because of current Covid-19 restrictions.

The warranty aids customers who are unable to bring their car in for free servicing (or pre-paid maintenance as part of a Kia servicing package) during the nationwide lockdown.

Kia Motors Ireland, and all of the Irish Motor Industry, are hopeful that the technicians in their dealer networks can get back to work as soon as possible to carry out necessary maintenance work on the Irish car fleet (with all the necessary precautions for staff and customer safety in place).
