A sporty version of theVolkswagen ID.4 electric SUV, the GTX, has been revealed this afternoon, writes Brian Byrne. The online reveal was at Berlin's Templehof Airfield, the iconic pre-World War II airport which closed in 2008.
With a dual-motor powertrain outputting 300hp, the car will be rated for a 480km range. A 6.2s sprint to 100km/h is possible. Differences from others in the ID.4 lineup will include changes to the front and rear lights, and black detailing.
The version will be available in Ireland in September. Pricing is not yet revealed but as a range-topping version, it is likely to be in excess of €63,000.
