The new generation Volkswagen Polo will be on sale in Ireland from early 2022, writes Brian Byrne. Prices are expected to start at under €20,000.
The car will be available in four grades with 80hp and 95hp petrol engines and manual and automatic transmissions. Depending on grade there will be availability of LED matrix headlights and semi-automated driving assistance. Digital instrumentation will be standard.
It's the seventh generation of VW's supermini-sized car, first launched in 1975. Over 18 million units have been sold.
