Toyota Ireland has announced details of three models on the way over coming months, which includes an SUV variant of the Yaris which arrives in Ireland in October at a starting price of €27,260, writes Brian Byrne.
The other models are a plug-in hybrid version of the RAV 4 compact SUV from €48,275 in very limited supply for Q4 2021 and an upgrade to the Camry arriving in the first quarter of 2022.
The Yaris Cross has a higher driving position and increased ground clearance over the hatchback which is the European Car of the Year 2021. It comes in four grades, powered by the 115hp petrol-hybrid engine debuted in the hatchback last year. It is available in AWD version. A Yaris Cross Roadshow will take place at Toyota dealerships from 26 August to 16 September.
The PHEV version of the RAV4 will offer an electric-only driving range of 75km, which Toyota says is class-leading in the segment. AWD is standard and the drivetrain power output totals 306hp. The car can also be viewed at a dealerships Road Show from 26 August to 26 September on an appointment basis only.
The updated Camry Platinum grade will offer a range of new features including redesigned alloys, a panoramic view monitor, ventilated front seats and an EV percentage time monitor.
