Volkswagen are marking the 50th anniversary of their iconic Golf with a special version for which orders open in February, writes Brian Byrne.
The enhancements include a revised front end and new rear lights designs, with LED systems front and rear. A new and more powerful infotainment system will include an integrated ChatGP AI element.
In the powertrain options there will be a plug-in hybrid with an EV range rated at up to 100km, and the ability to charge it at a DC fast-charge outlet.
More than 37 million Golfs have been sold globally since it was launched five decades ago.
