Orders will open soon in Ireland for the hybrid version of the Alfa Romeo Junior, the Junior Ibrida, writes Brian Byrne. It will sell for the same price as the electric version, from €34,995.
The powertrain provides 136hp from the combination 1.2 turbo petrol engine and electric motor, with a claim that town driving can be in electric mode for 50pc of the time.
A 4WD version with 145hp available will be available later this year.
The electric version of the Junior is available with 156hp and 280hp power.
