Anniversary Land Rover for Punchestown

A direct descendent of the original 1948 Land Rover will make its appearance at this year’s Punchestown National Hunt Festival, which takes place from Tuesday, 24th April to Saturday, 2nd May 2009. The special edition 60th anniversary Defender SVX will be on display throughout the festival.



Land Rover Ireland continues its long-standing association with Punchestown by sponsoring the Goffs Land Rover Bumper and Land Rover Champion Novice Hurdle. The Goffs Land Rover Bumper is run on the first day of the festival (24th April) while the Land Rover Champion Novice Hurdle is run on Friday, 1st May.

The Goffs Land Rover Bumper is the world’s richest bumper with a prize fund of €100,000 and the owner of the winning horse will also win the use of a Land Rover Discovery 3 for a year.
