Aer Lingus allows more cabin luggage

Aer Lingus has increased its carry-on bags limit to 10kg, in line with the limits on key competitor Ryanair. The previous limit was 6kg.

Baggage is restricted to one piece per passenger although additional small items such as cameras, personal stereos, overcoats, and handbags are allowed.

The maximum dimensions for a cabin bag are 56cmsx45cmsx25cms or 22inx18inx10in.

Baggage must be small enough to fit in overhead bins or under your seat.

On long-haul flights, Aer Lingus introduced new measures for Economy Class in the middle of last month.

Passengers can still check-in one bag free of charge. Baggage fees will apply for second and subsequent checked bags.

Excess weight fee is charged for any bag over 23 kgs (50lbs).
