Yep, coming next year after a launch at Frankfurt, the new BMW 320d EfficientDynamics Saloon will have CO2 emissions of just 109g/km and a combined consumption figure of 4.1 l/100km (68.9mpg).
The 2.0 diesel develops 163hp and 360Nm of torque and offers a zero to 100 km/h time of 8.2 seconds. The frugality is due to changes to the engine construction, a longer rear axle transmission ratio, lowered suspension and the use of specially designed aerodynamic alloy wheels with Michelin EnergySaver tyres.
The specification of the car will be on a par with a BMW 320d SE.
