New Sorento goes mainstream

Kia's new generation Sorento, which will debut at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show, is aimed at a more mainstream buying public than the outgoing SUV.



The style, ride and handling have been designed more at a car level, and the new car is of monocoque construction rather than the tranditional ladder-and-frame used by 4x4s.

Power will be from a new 2.2 197hp diesel. The new car is lighter than the old.

Kia will also debut a refreshed cee'd at the show.
