Peugeot seeks most fuel-frugal driver

Peugeot is searching for the most fuel efficient driver in Ireland. In its 'How Low Can You Go?' competition, a €3,000 shopping spree will be presented to whoever records the best fuel consumption figure in Ireland.

Entrants are invited to take a test drive in the 308 HDi diesel at participating Peugeot Dealer nationwide. Each driver’s average consumption over a minimum of 20km will be calculated and submitted to the competition website www.howlowcanyougo.ie. The winner will be announced week commencing Monday, 30 November.

Peugeot recently smashed yet another Guinness World Record with the 308 HDi, when husband and wife John and Helen Taylor circumnavigated the UK in a Peugeot 308 1.6 HDi loaded with holiday luggage, with an amazing average economy of 2.23 litres/100km (126.8mpg). The couple previously set a world record in 2008 in Australia, when they achieved 1,919km from a single tank in their 308 HDi.
