Renault Ireland launches new Clio

Renault Ireland has launched the revised version of its Clio supermini here, in time to gain visibility for the January sales spurt everybody hopes is going to happen.

Available in 3- and 5-door variants, the car features front end cues drawn from New Mégane including the air intake and front lights. There are also new front and rear bumpers, with facelifted rear lights, fog lights and reversing lights.

Power comes from two petrol engines, a including a 1.2, and a 1.5 diesel. There's a petrol/ethanol unit.

The first Renault Clio was launched two decades ago. The latest version comes with a choice of three equipment grades: Royal, Dynamique and TomTom Edition.

Clio is equipped with up to six airbags as standard: driver and front passenger auto-adaptive airbags, lateral airbags and curtain airbags (standard on Dynamique grade and higher). There's a three-year warranty.
