EU project will support electric cars

The European Union is to set up a project which will provide for common regulation and standards for technologies in developing electric cars.

The project will be announced officially on February 8 at a meeting of EU industry ministers in San Sebastian.

At meetings between high level officials and motor industry companies involved in electric cars it was agreed that there should be cooperation and integration of efforts in developing electric vehicles.
