The car, which will be badged a Range Rover, will be in the B tax segment for Irish buyers, with CO2 emissions of less than 130g/km.
Diesel hybrid versions of the company's larger vehicles will be sold from 2013, and Land Rover is investing in weight-saving and other technological developments to lower emissions across its models range.
