Ash means more 'stay at home' holidays

In an inevitable result of the ash cloud difficulties, almost half of respondents to a UK-based web survey said they were considering staying at in Britain for their holidays.

The survey, by Confused.com, also found that a quarter of respondents were 'less confident' about booking a foreign holiday.

The research also indicated that 7 percent of holidaymakers were still not going to travel with holiday insurance, while one in three have concerns about whether their cover insures them against problems caused by the ash.
