Land Rover unveiled its brand new compact Range Rover, Evoque, at the 40th birthday celebrations of the brand, writes Trish Whelan who was there at the exclusive event.
The reveal, in partnership with Vogue magazine, took place at The Orangery, Kensington Palace in London on 1st July at a star studded event which included members of the royal family, Zara Phillips, and a host of celebrities from sport, television and the music world.
The design has remained true to the LRX concept car shown at a number of recent motor shows.
It will be available in 2WD and 4WD variants, with a sub-130gm/km emissions performance.
While we got to see the exterior of the car, the windows were blacked out pending the official launch of the car at the Paris Motor Show in September.
Style icon Victoria Beckham was introduced as a consultant to the interior design of the car which goes on sale in summer next year, aimed at a global audience as it will be sold in 160 countries.
Also at the event was Melanie McCourt of Jaguar Land Rover Ireland, pictured below with the Autobiography edition of the Range Rover.
