Although Alfa Romeo's stand at the Geneva Show in March has been cut in size by a third, it doesn't mean that there won't be interesting news from the brand in 2011.
The 159 replacement, the Giulia, is now expected to go on sale towards the end of the year. The FWD car will be aimed directly against the BMW 3 Series and similar, and will be built on a variant of the Giulietta platform.
The style will use the design cues initiated in the Mito and continued in the Giulietta. The engines will include MultiAir turbocharged petrol and JTDm diesels.
