Kia shows its Naimo electric concept car

The world premier of Kia's electric concept car 'Naimo' takes place today at Seoul Motor Show.

The car takes its name from the Korean world 'Ne-mo' meaning 'square shape'.

It is powered by an electric motor with 109ps, has maximum torque of 280 Nm and a top speed of 150km/h (93mph). A twin-pack 27 kWh battery is located under the trunk floor.

The driving range is 200 km (124 miles) on a single charge. The battery can be recharged to 80 percent of its capacity within 25 minuts; 100 percent power after five and a half hours.

A feature is a high-intensity air jet at the base of the windscreen in place of the traditional wiper blade, while conventional door mirrors have also been replaced with miniature cameras installed in the A-Pillars. The car has no B-Pillars and features rear-hinged rear doors for easy access and a three-way split opening boot.

This five-door, four-seater city car is the third EV design to be unveiled by Kia Motors Corporation in a year.
