Airport the first to loan e-books

Bored at an airport and wishing you had a book? But didn't want to buy because it is just that bit of extra stuff to carry around?

Well, in Taiwan Airport you can now browse what is called the world's first in-transit e-library.

In a special area you can choose from 400 e-book titles, as well as around 2,000 books on paper.

The e-books are stored on a mix of iPads and e-readers with e-ink screens, which are loaned out on a first come first served basis. Passengers can't download the books to their own e-reader, though.

The airport handles up to 17 million passengers a year.
