The new model will be produced alongside the replacement for the Fiat Sedici small SUV, and may be sold in the US as well as Europe.
Meanwhile, a single model to replace both the Compass and the Patriot sold on the US market will be built in the US at the plant in Illinois where they are currently built. This changes plans for the Compass replacement to be built in Italy.
