Revised Astra in the autumn

A completely revised Opel Astra range is slated to be rolled out in Ireland in September, writes Brian Byrne, offering powertrains with sub-100gm/km CO2 emissions.

External cosmetic changes include front end tweaking to bring the range into line with the GTC sporty variant, with chrome detailing and dark elements in the lights. There are also new wheel designs.

The interiors have been spiffed up with new colours and trim elements. BiTurbo high performance diesel versions get special stitching in the leather bits and flat-bottomed steering wheel.

The arrival of the revised cars will include the launch of the new saloon version of the Astra here.
