The success of the Range Rover Evoque worldwide has forced Jaguar Land Rover to begin 24-hour production at its Halewood factory in Britain, writes Trish Whelan.
Some 88,000 units of the Evoque have been sold since its launch, and this is the first time in the plant's 50-year existance that it has gone to 3-shift production.
The company has 4,500 workers, 1,000 of them recently recruited and trained. The Freelander 2 is also built at Halewood.
