Peugeot hatch high in residuals survey

The Peugeot 207 retains 65 percent of its value after three years, according to a survey of residual values by car history checking company Motorcheck.ie.

The survey puts the Peugeot into second place in its class, just pipped by the Toyota Yaris at 66 percent retained value.

Both cars are ahead of the Ford Fiesta, VW Polo, Hyundai i20, Opel Corsa and Renault Clio in the survey. Peugeot 207 diesel models also retain 65% of their value, ahead of the Toyota Yaris, Nissan Micra and Kia Rio.

The results were welcomed by Des Cannon, Peugeot Sales & Marketing Director, who noted that Peugeot had achieved 'new heights' in terms of quality, as indicated by the recent announcement of a 5-year warranty acorss the brand's passenger cars range from January 1.

The Peugeot 207 is currently being replaced by the newly launched Peugeot 208 range.
