Nissan Ireland launches new Note
The new generation Nissan Note has been launched in Ireland at a starting price of €15,995, writes Brian Byrne.
The car is powered by a 3-cylinder 1.2 petrol engine with 80hp and 95hp outputs and a 90hp 1.5 diesel. CO2 emissions range 95-108g/km.
The car is one of six new mainstream products being launched by Nissan through the next 18 months, which include the revised Micra, a new Qashqai, the next X-Trail and a compact hatchback which will put the brand back in a segment it hasn't been since the Almera.
Technology includes the 'Nissan Safety Shield' - which links Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Moving Object Detection — and an Around View Monitor which gives a 360 bird's eye view when parking
There are three grades, XE, SV and SVE. The XE will come with six airbags, Cruise Control, Central Locking, 15” Steel Wheels, Electric Front Windows and Door Mirrors, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Ecometer and Start/Stop System, all as standard.
Other levels add such elements as Bluetooth, Around View Monitor, Nissan Connect and full climate control.
(A first drive impression will be published on Monday.)
